Kendall Jenner || Style Crush

Hello people! It seems like Kendall Jenner want people to know her because of her job rather than her last name. Whether she wants to be called just Kendall or Kendall Jenner, her style is on point. She always (or most times ) wears  classy and stylish outfits that look casual but put together. She tends to go for black, white and denim wearing bright colours in very little occasions.

Needless to say she has worn some interesting and not so stylish outfits and accessories (darling, we all remember the Coachella nose ring), however she still managed to look good (not saying that she should wear it again). However, I'm not going to be talking about her bad choices but of her good choices. I've been inspiring many of my outfits on Kendall's wardrobe and here you have some of my favourite looks the model has worn.

Hello everybody! August is almost over and even though here it is still somewhat hot (and by that I mean 34 degrees, it's rather boiling). Anyway, September means autumn is, if not here, around the corner. I personally change my make up look or the products I like to use depending on the weather. These are some make up essentials for the upcoming season.

Hello! By now I think you may have noticed I'm a big food lover so I love trying out new food, mainly if it's food I cannot get where I live. Throughout my life I think I've tasted a lot of 'exotic' food and dishes but there's still some thing that I haven't had the chance to enjoy. Here you have 5 food that I haven't tried yet but I would love to.
LUCKY CHARMS. Every single American raves about the famous sugary cereals and I really really want to try them out. I know I will love them though, I pretty much love everything sugary.

DRAGON FRUIT. You are lying if you say you haven't seen millions of pictures of pretty dragon fruit on Tumblr. Well, after seeing so many pictures I think giving it a try is the least I can do.

RAINBOW CAKE. I know, rainbow cake is just  regular cake with loads of food colouring but it looks pretty and I want to Instagram it. #dealwithit

 PANCAKES. No, I have never tried proper pancakes. I've had Frech crepes many many times and I've even tried to makes pancakes myself but I've never tried proper American pancakes.

DIM SUM. I love Chinese food and my sister is always telling me how good dim sum is. Now, I don't know if I've ever tried it or not but if I've had I certainly do not remember the taste so it doesn't count.

What food would you like to try?

Whether you are already back to school or you are still on summer break you will want to read this 5 reasons to be excited about going back to school!

1. Friends. It's true that most people see their best friends very often during summer break but going back to school means seeing them every day for several hours. Plus, we all have these friends that we like but we only see at school and it's nice to see them again.

2. Back to school shopping. Any kind of shopping is fun but back to school shopping has to be one of the best. There's something about brand new stationary,  cute new autumn clothes and a shiny new backpack that makes me love back to school shopping and I know I am not the only one.

3. Dressing up. School is not a fashion show at all but you can dress up a little bit if you want. I personally love waking up in the morning, choosing a nice outfit and doing my make up. It's something I don't do so often in summer as I normally spend my days in bed watching movies.

4. Being entertained. I think I speak for most teenagers when I say school is not exactly fun and we don't really love sitting in class listening to our teachers. However, it makes the day go by faster and some lessons can be interesting. I am of these people that, after two months of break, becomes so bored of doing nothing so going back to school is nice as I feel much more productive.

5. Ego-boost. You know when your teacher says that the exams have been marked and you are gonna see the grade in a few minutes? Yeah, when you start getting nervous and sweating and cannot think of anything else. Well, don't say that when you get your exam back and you have passed (or even better you have an A!) you don't feel like a superhero and you are happy for the rest of the day (or at least for the next few hours).

So, these are some reasons to be happy about going back to school. Of course, there are also things we are not looking forward to but let's try to stay positive!

What are you looking forward to?

It's Emmy time!! I love red carpets and I love looking at all the utterly beautiful dresses, perfect make up and gorgeous hairstyles (with a few exceptions of course). There were some stunning looks at the Emmy's red carpet so, of  course, I had to put together my favourites:
Allison Williams || Behati Prinsloo and Adam Levine || Sarah Hyland || Kate Mara
First off we have my favourite look of the night, Allison William's. There is not a single flaw in sight, she looks absolutely stunning. The dress couldn't be more flattering, she looks like a princess.

Next is the VS angel Behati Prinsloo with her handsome husband Adam Levine. They both looked gorgeous and perfectly matched. Behati's dress was simple but with character and unique.  Even though I think the dress would have been prettier without the mesh.

Sarah Hyland literally took my breath away the first time I saw her in that outfit. Some people have said that it doesn't really suit her because she has a very small figure. Personally, though, I think it looks lovely on her and really flatters her making her look taller and slimmer.

I'm not very familiar with white dresses as I tend to go for black ones. However, I adore Kate's dress. I love the asymmetric look and how it kind of looks like it had been ripped at the bottom.

Lizzy Caplan || Julia Roberts || January Jones

Next, we have Lizzy Caplan whose dress is definitely something unique and different from all we saw at the red carpet. At first it looks like a normal black dress with some sexy cutouts but then you realise it has  a long white train that makes the dress so special.

Julia Roberts surprised us all by wearing a short (but stunning) dress with an impressive cleavage. It is all covered by little shiny rocks and gives it a very elegant touch.

Last but not least we have the one and only January Jones, wearing the most beautiful and amazing dress I have ever seen. It is absolutely flawless and she looks like a real queen, it is perfect.

I've always found other cultures fascinating, specially Japanese culture. I find so interesting because it's completely different to mine, it's like another world for me. Even though fashion is nowadays similar all around the world, each country or area still has some specific things that define them and so does Japan.

We all knew what kimonos were before they were trendy, before we could buy them at stores like Tophop or Zara. However, as I explained in my post here classical kimonos are no exactly what we wear now.

You can pretty much find kimonos everywhere now but there are some  cheap ones at Missguided like the one above which is only £7!

I recently wrote a post featuring styles that I find interesting but that I don't normally wear. I described one of this styles as an 'anime' style. I know now it's called 'Lolita' and according to Wikipedia:

"It is a fashion subculture originating in Japan that is based on Victorian-era clothing, but the style has expanded greatly beyond Japan.The Lolita look began primarily as one of modesty with a focus on quality in both material and manufacture of garments. The original silhouette is of a knee length skirt or dress with a "cupcake" shape assisted by petticoats, but has expanded into various types of garments including corsets and floor length skirts."

I found some very nice Lolita dresses on Tidebuy here, you should definitely check them out!

What's your favourite thing about Japanese culture?

Hello people! As you all may know, the Video Music Awards 2014 took place yesterday and all of our favourite celebrities were there and were dressed to impress. I put together my favourite outfits of the night, there they go!

Olivia Culpo || Victoria Justice || Taylor Swift || Greer Grammer

 First, we have Olivia Culpo who seems to be Nick Jonas' girlfriend and for some unknown reason I wasn't aware of that (HOW?!). Anyway, I love her dress, it's so simple and classic but at the same time so fancy and elegant. It looks gorgeous on her!

Next, we have Victoria Justice. I think she looked stunning with that crop top and the high-low skirt. It was sexy but not too revealing. And her clutch was sooo cool!

I've always liked Taylor's style but lately she's outdoing herself.  Her outfit for the TCAs was amazing but this one is as well. The colour really suits her and the playsuit makes her incredibly long legs stand out. 10  out of 10 for  Tay Tay.

Okay, I'm going to be honest and say that I have no idea who Greer Grammer is and I hadn't seen her before but her style is really really on point.  That turquoise colour is absolutely beautiful and the flowh style gives her a very sweet look. One of the reasons why I love it so much is probably because it reminds me of a mermaid and I love mermaids.

Maddie Ziegler || Arden Cho
I want to briefly mention Maddie Ziegler, she looks extremely adorable and so so so cute I want to hug her and never let her go.
Last but not least, we have Arden Cho. I would usually say that the dress is too sparkly and shiny but I think it loos gorgeous on her. Her hairstyle is also amazing, it brings out the dress and her beautiful face!
Who do you think was the best dressed?

Hello everybody! So today I'm writing a sort of different kind of post. I'm going to be talking about styles that I find interesting even though it's not what I usually wear.

First off, it's what I call 'anime' style. Now, I'm not an anime lover and I probably don't really know what it is exactly but it is what comes to my mind when I see this dresses. They are super sweet and cute and even though they might not be your everyday style they are great to wear to dinner or some fancier party. Needless to say they would be perfect if you have a Japanese themed event as I feel like they will remind many people of the Japanese fashion. These exact dresses can be found here

Another style that I do like is the 'pin up girl' style. I think it's the perfect combination of sexy and classy and it flatters most body types. Lately, this style is becoming very trendy and it's easy to see it in many high-street stores. Katy Perry wears it very often to awards and events and I think it looks lovely on her and it really really suite her.

What style do you like other than what you wear?

Cutout Boots || Favourite trends

Whether it's winter or summer, black booties are always a must have in your wardrobe.  Last year we started to see cutout boots in the stores. To be honest, at first I was like 'what the hell is that? why do they have holes?' but even though they might not be the warmest boots out there, they are pretty damn cool.

What is great about cutouts boots is that, because they are not as warm as other boots,  they can be worn all year around. In summer, they look great withe some distressed shorts or a LBD. When it gets colder you can wear them with black skinny jeans which is my favourite look and I'll be wearing it way too many times during this upcoming season. They also look super cute with ruffly socks even though it's not really my style.

Price-wise, they tend to be a bit expensive. My personal favourites are the Balenciaga ones but as they cost around $1000 I cannot afford them. However, you can find similar ones at Topshop, Missguided, etc.

What do you think of this trend?

Backpack Essentials || Back To School

Hello everybody! Now that your Youtube and Bloglovin feed are already flooded with back to school posts and videos so here's another one to add to the collection. Wether you're going to middle school, high school or college, it is likely that you carry a backpack or handbag with you to keep all of your stuff. Over the years I've sort of learned which things are very handy to keep close to help me get through the day without having a mental breakdown. So, here are some things that everybody should keep in their backpack.
