How To Not Get Bored in Aiports

Hello there!  Have you ever been in an airport just chilling for 8 hours? I have (in fact, I am right now). I know it doesn't sound fun at all, and trust me it's not. True, some airports are like proper shopping centres. However, have you ever been shopping for so many hours? I don't think so (if you have, you go), plus I'm not a big fan of window shopping and when you have 2 hand bags and a damn heavy suitcase you don't want to add any more stuff to your belongings.

In case you ever find yourself stuck in an airport for countless hours, I've written down a few things you can do to kill some time.

1. Be prepared! Have all your chargers in your carry-on/handbag so that you can charge your phone/iPod/laptop or whatever you like to use to entertain yourself.

2.Go for a walk!  When you get tired of being on your phone or watching movies, go for a walk and listen to music. Airports tend to be huge so just wander around, you never know what you might find!

3.  Go eat! And try to eat somewhat healthy. For some strange reason I associate airports and flying with sweets and chocolate so that's what I normally eat when I'm in planes or waiting for my flight. However, if you are spending a lot of time in a plane or an airport you need to eat your greens and leave the sweets aside.

4. Read books. Reading makes time go by much much faster if you like what you are reading. If you don't like reading, you can listen to audiobooks and multi-task. For example, right now I am listening to 'Brunette Ambition' by Lea Michele and writing this post.

5. Sleep. I cannot sleep in public but if you have no problem with that sleeping is the best way to kill some time, time flies by when you are asleep!

This might not interest all of you and some of you might find this a bit boring but I am bored in an airport right now soo... yeah.

What do you do when you have some time to kill in airports?

My Week in Pictures #1

Hello people! I am the kind of person who will take 100 pictures in a matter of hours and will refuse to delete any of them because they are 'memories', however I'll probably never look at them again. That is why I decided to start this series. From now on, every Sunday I'll upload a post with the highlights of my weeks so that at least I use some of the hundreds of pictures I take (400 pictures in less than two weeks, impressive). So, this is my last week of June in pictures!
Nitrogen Ice Cream at Camden Market
Who knew I could fit so much stuff in one tiny room?

After a few months of wanting to try it out I finally got a Snog, it was delicious!

Me bored in an airport = shopping (the excuse was that everything's cheaper in airports)

On my way home!

What has been the highlight of your week? Do you like these kind of posts?

Chasing Beauty: The Ugly Side of Being Pretty

Hello everybody! So, since it seems like I've pretty much watched all the rom coms available on Netflix I decided to find something else to watch because why go out and socialise when you can stay in bed? I found this documentary called 'Chasing Beauty' which is about the modelling industry and how it works.

I don't think I'm wrong if I say that most girls have, at some point in their lives, dreamt about being a VS angel, who wouldn't like to look like Miranda Kerr or Adriana Lima? Right. Hundreds, not to say millions, of girls leave home and move to L.A or N.Y with the dream of becoming a supermodel. Truth is, only a few of them will succeed if any.

Why do so many girls want to become top models? Because we are sold that if we become on we will live like queens, people will do our make up and our hair, we will be given free expensive clothes and people will adore us. All of that only because of our looks. However, is that the reality? I am not a model and I don't know any so of course I can't affirm anything but I doubt so. Models have to travel all around the world and regardless of how tired/jet lagged they are they still have to look flawless and perfect. They have to watch what they eat 24/7, they have to stay fit and on top of that they have to live their 'normal' life. Moreover, to get to be successful you have to go through so much negative criticism and people telling you that you're not good enough or pretty enough or tall enough or fit enough. And even when you are at the top people will find your flaws and point them out to you. Of course, despite of what you want to become there will always be people criticising you but I feel like in the model industry this is intensified.

This documentary talks about the reality of the modelling world and how it is for most models, those who aren't superstars. It features actual models as well as former models and other  people involved in the modelling industry. If you are somewhat interested in fashion or modelling you will probably find this interesting!

Maybelline's The Falsies Volume Express || Beauty Review

Hello people! Today I have another beauty review for you all. I had been using the same mascara for pretty much a year and I really liked it but it wasn't waterproof and as summer is coming I thought a waterproof formula would work better. I had seen a lot of beauty gurus raving about The falsies by Maybelline so I decided to get it.

It retails at £7.99 which is okay, not too cheap not too expensive. What I really like about this mascara is the wand, it's curved so it helps curling your eyelashes which is amazing because it's two steps in one. The wand is flexible which makes applying the product much easier. Also, it really separates my eyelashes and doesn't clump them (i'm not a fan of clumpy eyelashes).

Formula wise, it is not perfect but it's quite good. My eyelashes do look much much longer and thicker and it almost looks like I'm wearing fake eyelashes (hence the name 'the falsies'). The only thing I don't quite like about the formula is that it literally sticks to your eyelashes and it's very hard to remove. This is the waterproof version so I was expecting it to be hard to remove but it is almost impossible. I've used my regular make up remover and also an eye make up remover and it just doesn't work. I can get some of it off but I can't remove the product completely.

Overall, it's a very good mascara and it works wonders despise the fact that it is very hard to take off, but maybe the non-waterproof version works as well as this one and it's easier to remove. Anyway, for £8 it's definitely worth  it and I would recommend it.

What's your favourite mascara?

Outfit Ideas || 4th of July

Hello everybody! I know, I am not American and therefore I don't celebrate the 4th of July. So, why would I ever write this post? Well, because it turns out that the American flag is pretty much everywhere, from shorts to jackets, and to be honest all of this outfit are rather 'normal' meaning that you could wear them any day.

The first two outfits are more casual and you could pretty much wear them everyday to hang out with your friends or maybe going shopping or whatever you like to do! The last one is more dressy but you could easily dress it down by changing the clutch for a more casual handbag and maybe changing the sandals for vans or converse.

The Fault In Our Stars aka How to Break Your Heart

Hello everybody! Yesterday a friend and I decided to go to the cinema to watch the very well-known movie that everybody (including me) is freaking about, yes, The Fault in Our Stars. I read the book last year and it quickly became one of my favourite books so I couldn't wait until the movie was out.

I'm going to talk about the book first. I don't want to spoil anyone so I'm just going to say that it is about a girl with cancer who meets a guy who used to have cancer and they fall in love. However, it is not a typical normal Hollywood love story, it's much more than that and it's much deeper. If you have some free time this summer I totally recommend it, it's easy to read and not too long and I promise you will really enjoy it!

Moving onto the movie, I was very impressed. The book is so well-adapted, when you finish watching it you don't feel like there were some parts from the booksmissing, or at least I didn't feel like that and I always do. I was also very impressed with Ansel Elgort's performance, he nailed it, he IS Augustus Waters. Shailene Woodley was amazing as well but after seeing Divergent I was kind of expecting it so I wasn't so impressed. Overall, I think the cast was perfect and even though I thought it would be weird to see Shailene and Ansel as lovers after seeing them as brothers it wasn't at all. Lastly, I want to advice not to wear eye make up that day because you will cry, A LOT.

So yeah, I would totally recommend both the movie and the book, in fact you MUST read the book and see the movie, there is no option.

Have you seen the movie or read the book? What did you think?

Beautiful Ends Leave In Conditioner || Beauty Review

Hello  people! EXAMS ORE OVER! woohoo! That means that I finally have some free time to relax and to blog of course. A few months ago I decided it was time to try and make my hair look decent, which means a trip to Boots was needed.

Amongst other products that were supposed to help your hair look  extraordinary I bought  this leave-in conditioner.  I had never used one before so I didn't quite know what to expect. Let me tell you something, this is amazing. It does everything you would want it to do and more.

I normally use it after I shower when my hair is slightly damp. I have naturally wavy hair  and when I use that it makes my hair more curly and beachy. On top of that it leaves my hair very soft and shiny and that is saying something taking into account my hair is literally straw.

This product claims to help with split ends but I haven't really noticed any difference when it comes to that. However, that could be because I just have way too many so if it gets a bit better I can't really tell!

If you've read my past reviews on other products you will know that I aaaalways comment whether the product smells nice or not and this one smells amazing! It's a very sweet and fruity scent, it doesn't really smell like raspberries though.

Overall, it is a very good product and helps make my hair softer and it feels much healthier!

Which is your favourite haircare product?

Outfit Ideas || Getting Ready For Summer

Hello everybody! Summer is feeling closer and closer and I think we all could use a bit of outfit inspiration, am I right or am I right? Anyway, here's just a quick post featuring some outfits I've put together that I think would look very cute for summer! I know my last few posts have been quite short and not very 'impressive', in the way that I have not spent hours taking pictures, writing, and making sure it looks perfect but I have finals next week and I barely have time to eat. However, I'll be back and ready to blog in less than two weeks!

Hello everybody! So I SAW ONE DIRECTION LIVE YESTERDAY! I am still freaking out and I don't really believe I was there, after so many years of fangirling over these faggots I finally got to see them live at the Wembley Stadium! It was as amazing as I always thought it would be. First of all, Wembley is freaking huge, I don't even know what goes through the boys' heads when they stand on stage in front of 90,000 people who paid to see them, I would cry. Also, anything involving one direction is amazing so... seeing them live and breathing the same air as them was just surreal.
What made yesterday night one of the best nights of my life is that I got to see 5SOS live as well, I mean, two of my favourite bands in one night is too much for my little heart. AAND, Alfie, Marcus, Louise and Joe (YouTubers) were also there and I saw them and even though they were quite far away the fact that I saw them in person made me fangirl way too hard.
Anyway, I'll stop talking (or writing) now and I'll let you enjoy the pictures and videos I took yesterday!

P.S. When I say yesterday I mean June, 6th. I wrote this yesterday but I couldn't publish it until today because the video wasn't up yet!
