Feed your brain || How to survive Exams

Hello everybody! So, I am aware many of you have exams now and will have in the near future. First of all, let me tell you something: I feel you. I have exams in two weeks and I am freaking out. Whilst revising, it is very important to eat so that your brain doesn't run out of fuel and you can keep working and absorbing information. I am a big fan of snacking as I feel like it makes revision more bearable, here you have some of my favourite snacks:
1. Fruit. When the sun is out and it get a bit warmer, there is nothing better than snacking on some berries or frozen mango chunks. They are like 'healthy' sweets (not really but I think you know what I mean). I personally love blackberries, they are my favourite berries ever!
2. Chocolate.  I love (and who doesn't?)  eating some chocolate every now and then. If you have a Whole Foods where you live you have to try the Apple Crumble chocolate by Montezuma's, I swear it is probably the best chocolate I've ever tasted.
3. Nuts. Nuts like walnuts are good for your brain as it contains something that helps you remember stuff (very scientific, I know). Also, most nuts have a lot of protein and some have fibre which is always good for your body. However, don't be like me, and try not to eat the whole bag in on afternoon.
4. Graze Box. For those of you who like variety this is the perfect option. I've been getting a Graze Box (in case you don't know, Graze is a company that sends snacks to your house) once every week since March I believe and I love their snacks! they have a lot of options and you can either choose which ones to get or let them choose for you! A regular box is £3.99 however if you click the link below you will get it for free (only the first one) and if you don't like it then just unsubscribe, c'mmon, who can say no to free food? If you want your free box click here.

What are your favourite snacks?

Hair Chalk || Trends

Hello everybody!! So, you may have heard of this thing called 'hair chalk' which is basically chalk but for you hair (pretty amazing, huh?). It's like a temporary dye meaning that if it turns out to look completely awful you can take a shower and boom, it's gone! I've been thinking of getting some of these magical product for a while so if you know some brand that works well on dark-ish hair, let me know. However, here you have some inspiration! ( I don't know about you but this pictures really make me wanna dye my hair pink...)

Have you ever tried hair chalk? What did you think?

Summer Wishlist || Getting Ready For Summer

Hello everybody! I thought it was about time I did a summer wishlist as the weather here in London has been extremely lovely later and also because, even though summer holidays are still a month away from me, I know many people finish soon or have already finished. Without further ado, here's my summer wishlist! First of all you may notice a certain trend going on, yes, I sort of love anything with fringe. ( You may notice a certain trend going on, yes, I sort of love anything with fringe)
Summer Wishlist #1

Okay, so, I don't know about you but in my world summer starts when I buy my first bikini top or bottom of the year.  I personally love Oysho for buying swimwear, they have very cute tops. This top is perfect, I love the colour, I already have a coral top and it looks AMAZING when I get a bit tan. Also, who doesn't need a plain black bikini bottom?

Lately, I've been obsessing over headbands as they not only make any outfit look more put together but they also keep your hair out of your face which is quite nice when you get all sweaty and gross.

I first saw this white cropped t-shirt on Meghan's video and I instantly fell in love with it, it's so special yet unique. I swear Brandy Melville makes the cutest t-shirts. I don't think you can read it but it says  'Mermaids don't do homework' and if case you didn't know I love mermaids (fun fact: my favourite Disney movie was The Little Mermaid).

The next two items are also crop tops, the first one I found whilst I was looking for bikinis on and I kind of need it? yeah, it's... idk... I really like it. It reminds me of Coachella. The next crop top is a very colourful one from Topshop and I basically want this to wear with my black skater skirt, now, don't tell me it wouldn't look amazing.

This is quite embarrassing but I think I've featured a fringe backpack in all of my last few wishlists... oops? Anyway, this one is so so sooo beautiful and it's not even expensive which is a plus! I need to get a new beach bag as mine is quite old and this would be perfect.

Finally, I've been wanting to deep-dye my hair for a year I think now, but I am not brave enough to do it as I'm scared it might not suit me. So, a good alternative is hair chalk as if it looks very bad I can just wash my hair and it will go away!

And that's all that is on my wishlist so far, what's on yours?

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation || Beauty Review

Hello everybody! First of all, let me apologise for the lack of good pictures of this post, there's only one and it's not a very good one but basically my phone (what I sue to take all my pictures) is dead and this is the only picture I took before its sad death. Hopefully, I'll get it fixed soon and I'll be able to took more decent pictures.

Anyway, a while ago I bought this foundation as I had read many good reviews about it. The first time I tried it I didn't like it at all, it made my face very shiny and it made my rednesses stand out instead of hiding them so I stopped using it. A few weeks later I decided to start using it again as it matched my skin tone perfectly and I am really liking the 'glowy skin' look for spring.
This foundation claims to "reawake and illuminate skin with a radiant glow and a flawless, natural looking finish." And that's exactly what it does, if you have a rather clear skin. By clear, I don't mean that you don't have any spots or any marks but that you don't have ay of these bright red spots.
I would say it's medium coverage and it feels very light on your skin as it's very liquid and not cakey at all. It lasts pretty much all day and as I've said before, it illuminates your skin and in fact it has 'micro glitter' in it. To be honest, I highly doubt it's actual purpurin but it looks like it (but don't worry, you can't see it when you apply it, it just gives you this pretty radiant glow). I personally love the glowy  finish even though I am a big fan of matte make up.
The only down side of this foundation is that it can get a bit too shiny after a few hours if I don't touch up my powder (which I never do... oops).  However,  if you don't have very oily skin or a very bad acne, I would totally recommend that foundation!

Have you tried this foundation? Which is your favourite foundation?

How Not to Freak Out Before Exams

Hello everybody! Hope everyone is getting their revision done and starting to feel ready for their upcoming exams. Regardless of whether you have revised enough or not you will probably get quite nervous before an exam. This 'freak out' many people has before taking any relatively important exam is anything but good, if you are nervous and stressed you won't be able to think clearly and you might not remember things that you actually know. Here you have some tips to avoid freaking out the day (or the hour) before your next exam.

1.  The night before the exam read all your notes right before going to bed and make sure you know everything, your brain will 'organise' all the information and when you wake up you will remember more things. Also, when you wake up try to revise everything quickly.

2. Don't drink a lot of coffee or eat too much sugar for breakfast as these things excite you and make you a bit more hyper which will doesn't help at all when you are trying to be calm.

3. Don't think too much about the exam or its content, the more you think about it the more stressed out you will get. Just talk to a friend or check your social network, basically, keep yourself entertained and focus on other things.

4. This one is quite similar to the previous one. Don't revise an hour or a few minutes before an exam, if you don't know something you are not likely to learn it then and if you know it then there's no point in revising it again.

5. Lastly, failing an exam or getting a low grade is not the end of the world. Life is much more than school or university so, even though you should try to do your best at school, it's fine if an exam goes wrong or not as well as you expected.

Do you tend to get very nervous before an exam? How do you avoid it?

Healthy Skin || Getting Ready For Summer

Hello people! Yeah, I know, it's still spring but summer is just around the corner  and when the temperatures go up I like the amount of make up I use to go down. I don't think I'm the only one who doesn't really like to wear a thick layer of foundation, mainly when it's almost 40 degrees outside. For this exact reason, I've been trying to get a clearer skin so that I don't need foundation in a few months. Here you have some of the things I've been doing:

1. Drink a lot of water. This is quite hard for me as I am literally known for not drinking water at all. I swear I can go a day drinking just one glass of water. However, I've been trying to drink 1L of water every day as this cleanses your body and helps cleaning your skin. If you find plain water too boring for you you can spice things up by adding lemon, berries, orange or any fruit that you like!

2. Eat Clean.  I am not saying you have to eat completely and absolutely only clean and unprocessed food because that will probably en up with the worst cravings ever. Everybody likes junk food and it's okay to have them from time to time but not on a regular basis.
3. Let your skin breathe. Yeah, sure make up makes your skin look flawless but your skin needs to breathe an if you don't take off your make up properly or wear heavy foundation every single day then your skin might get much worse. I almost always take off my make up when I get home from uni and don't wear any make up if I am staying at home all day or I'm not doing something that requires me to look decent.
4.Exfoliate and moisturise. Exfoliation is extremely important as it removes the dead skin and prevents it from clogging up your pores which can cause breakouts. Also if you don't moisturise your face properly then your skin will produce more oils to fight the dryness which can also cause you breakouts.
And that's it. As you can see they are very simple and relatively easy to follow tips that anyone can do! I hope this has, if not helped you, entertained you for a while!

Nail Polishes Everywhere

Hello everybody! For the past few weeks I've been revising quite a lot and for the past few days I've been living for revision as I have an exam in three days and... well let's just say  I hadn't worked on that course since December. Something that has made revision more bearable is getting  an email from the lovely Kathryn from KJ saying that I had won her 100 followers giveaway! The prize was a selection of Barry M nail polishes.

All the colours that Kathryn picked are lovely,  there is an overall of 8 nail polishes: 4 regular ones and 4 'special' ones.
Blue Moon  || Peach Melba  || Lemon I/C  || Nude

SNP 2 Black ||  Diamond Glitter  ||  Heather || Watermelon

As you can see, they are all beautiful colours perfect for spring. The pastel ones are my little babies, I love anything pastel but I didn't own many pastel nail polishes and I am so happy I got these!  Quality-wise, they are like all the other Barry M polishes, not the most pigmented ever but good quality for what you pay. However, I have to say that for the lighter colours I need a few (around 3 or 4) coats to get a solid colour. Personally, I am in love with Blue Moon, there's something about it that gets me every time I use it.

Out of all the 'special' ones SNP2 Black is my favourite, it has such a cool texture. It's like it had salt in it, I don't know. But it is very cool and I like to rub my nail when I get bored in class (I am a bit weird, I know). The silk one surprised me quite a lot as I was not expecting to like it. I had seen some swatches online before and I didn't like how it looked but it's one of my favourites now and I can imagine it will look even better when I get a bit tan!

To be honest, my idea was to show how they all look on my nails but right now my nails are rather disgusting and I don't want to wait for them grow and look nice again to upload this post. Plus, I think you can tell whether you like the colour or not by looking at the bottle!

Which one is your favourite? Which colours do you like for spring and summer?
