How I Pack My Suitacse

Hello sexy little unicorns! You know you've become a pro at packing when you manage to pack your whole winter wardrobe in one suitcase. Spring term is almost over and I am going home for one month (I know, my Easter holidays are extremely long), in fact, right now I am probably in the plane back home (the joy of scheduled posts!). I know overpacking or just packing for long trips is rather hard so I thought I would let you know how I manage to successfully pack a month worth of clothes in one suitcase.

1. Know what you are doing
It's quite hard to pack if you don't know what kind of things you will be doing in your trip, do you need a fancy dress? Bathing suit? heels?
Also, always check the weather as you don't want to pack shorts if it's going yo be 13 degrees!

2. Organise your wardrobe.
It is hard to see al your options if your wardrobe is messy and clothes are all over the floor. Plus, you don't want to spend 30min looking for that super cute jumper that would go amazing that skirt.

3.Think of possible outfits
Don't throw all your clothes in the suitcase, make outfits and lay them on your bed so that you don't pack jumpers that don't go with anything and that you won't end up wearing. Pack one (or two if it's going to be a long trip) extra outfits just in case but not more! And be realistic, if you know you don't wear something at home don't pack it because you're probably not gonna wear it on your vacation either.
If you are going only for a few days don't pack more than one pyjama because, let's be real, you might spend the whole weekend in you pyjama at home but if you are on vacation you probably won't.

4. Throw everything in your suitcase!!
Just kidding, don't do that. That is not smart. I like to pack my bottoms first as, unless you're bringing fluffy jumpers, they take up more space than my t-shirts or jumpers. Then I pack my jumpers and finally my t-shirts. I leave the t-shirts for the end because if there is no space you can fit them in some wholes between jumpers as they are very thin.
I put my underwear, socks and random thing in these 'pockets' of my suitcase and I leave my make-up bag in top of everything so that I can put on my make up before I go to the airport.

5. Use a backpack
I take the tube to go to the airport so I never bring a carry on suitcase with me as carrying one heave suitcase around is enough for me but if I really need more space I like to use my backpack, believe it or not you can actually fit A LOT of stuff in it. And I thought it was only to carry books around! However, I much rather travel with only my purse so if I can I will avoid that.

6. Don't leave everything to the last minute!
I have to say I am guilty of that as I've found myself packing at 3am in the morning but if you don't want to overpack or forget things don't do that.

What are your tricks to manage to fit everything in your suitcase?

How To Get Soft Shiny Hair!

Hello people! Dry and damaged hair is something that I've always struggled with, I never used to take care of my hair and the fact that I only get it cut once or twice a year (and because my mom forces me to) doesn't help. So a few weeks  ago I decided to invest in some hair products to  make my hair look and feel healthier.

First of all, I try not to wash my hair every day as that makes you hair get drier and get oily easier, I normally wash it every other day. I use Aussie's Miracle Moist Shampoo and Aussie's 3 Minute Miracle Deep Conditioner. They both really help to moisturise my hair and make it look healthier.
I never blow-dry my hair as it damages it and also because I'm too lazy to do it! So I just  absorb some water with a towel and let it dry naturally.

In the morning, when I'm getting ready I use Herbal Essence Beautiful Ends Split End Protection Cream which is a leave in conditioner that, as the name itself suggests, helps with split ends and mine are very very bad. It also smells delicious. However, I can't make the pump work which is quite annoying...

I then also use L'OrĂ©al Extraordinary Oil Mist which is enriched with louts flower extract (I don't really know what that means but it sounds fancy!). It spray that to the ends of my hair and it makes it look very shiny and healthy.

As I've said before I've always had dry and far from soft hair but I've realised that since I use all of this products my hair has been getting healthier and softer!

Get the look: Lucy Hale

Hello everybody!! In case you didn't know I am (and have been for about 3 years) obsessed with Pretty Little Liars. I first thought about doing this post on Aria Montgomery but I then saw this gorgeous outfit that Lucy Hale wore and I couldn't resist.

This outfit is perfect for spring as it's super colourful and fun. The sequin shorts and the heels make it quite formal but if you want to dress it down you can pair it with a pair of converse and high-waisted jeans.

Do you like PLL? Who's your favourite character? And who do you think A is?

Divergent by Veronica Roth || Review

Hello everybody! I've always loved reading but for some strange reason I hadn't read any book since last  Easter (I know, almost a year). The other day I was watching some YouTube videos, as always, and the Divergent trailer came up. That's when I decided that I had to read it, some friends had told me how good it was before but I guess I was too lazy to buy it. Anyway, I got it for a very cheap price at Amazon (I think around £3,50) so I had no excuse.

I started reading the book on a Thursday afternoon and I finished it on Friday. So basically I read the whole book in less than 24hrs. That should tell how freaking amazing it is.
The beginning of the book and the overall theme reminds me a bit of The Hunger Games as it is also set in the future and the society is divided in a similar way. So if you enjoyed reading THG you will probably love Divergent.
The book starts when the main character, Beatrice, is 16 and has to take a test to see to which fraction (they are something like Districts in THG) she belongs and of course she gets a weird result and that's when all the problems begin.

I don't want to say anything else as I know how annoying spoilers are but let me just tell you that once you start reading it it will swallow you and you won't do anything else but read until you finish it so don't read it if you have exams coming up.
I have no doubt I will read the other two books in that trilogy (Insurgent and Allegiant) very soon, probably next week as right now I have a lot of work to do.
If you want you can check the trailer of the movie here:

Have you read Divergent or any book in that trilogy? What did you think?

PS: Thank you so much for following/reading my blog, I recently hit 100 followers on bloglovin! yaaay! THAANKS!

Things that make me happy

Lately I've seen many YouTube videos and blog posts about how to be happy or how to be positive, etc. so I decided to make a blog posts about a few little things that make me happy.

Sunny weather

Living in London has made me realised how much I love sunny weather. There is nothing better than waking up to the sun shining through my windows. It's much easier to get out of bed.

Long talks

I love talking to someone for hours and hours and hours, I don't do it very often as I normally have stuff to do and can't spend 3 hours talking to someone knowing that I have homework that's due in the following day but when I have time I love to do it!

Wearing new clothes

I love it when you wear something that still smells like the store you got it from, specially is it's something from Hollister as  their stores smell deliciously yummy!

Going to the airport

Call me weird but I just love going to the airport in London. I like it when it's in London because I go by myself and  there is just something about waking up early, getting dressed in comfy clothes and taking the tube to the airport. I feel like a grown up! However, I also like going to the airport when I'm at home or anywhere else in the world. Am I the only one?

Haul || Boots

Hello everybody! Recently, I've done quite a few trips to Boots and without even realising I bought a fair amount of stuff.

You know when you walk into Boots and see a 3 for 2 offer on Maybelline products and you need to take advantage of it? That happened to me. I had been wanting a new bronzer for a long time as mine was slightly too dark for me so I got the Dream Sun Triple Bronzer in Brunette/Brune together with the Dream Touch Blush in 06 and something I had been wanting to try since autumn, the Master precise felt tip eyeliner in Black/Noir (review here )

I also picked up the Rimmel London Wake Me Up foundation as my old one was almost gone. However it turnes out I don't really like it as it is a bit shimmery and it makes my skin look much worse than what it actually is. I also got the L'Oreal Elvive Extraordiary Oil Mist (which makes your hair sooooo soft) and the Burjois kabuki brush.

Because I can never have too many hair products (you don't know how bad my hair is) I bought the Herbal Essence Beautiful Ends Split Ends Protection Cream which basically helps with split ends and makes you hair smooth. Another thing I decided to try to fight against my  blackheads (and hopefully I'll win) are pore strips by Boots.

And finally I picked up my favourite shampoo which is Aussie Miracle Moist Shampoo, it smells soo good and it makes my hair look very nice. If you know me you'll know I'm the laziest person on earth so dry shampoo is my best friend, I picked up the Batiste Dry Shampoo in Fruity and Cheeky Cherry and let me tell you, out of of all the Batiste dry shampoos this is the best one, its smell is so perfect!

And the last thing I got is the Garnier Miscellar Cleansing Water which I reviewed here.

Have you bought any beauty products recently?

What's in my school bag?

Heeelllloooo (Marcut Butler's voice). I love "what's in my hadnbag/school bag/ backack?"s posts/videos because... well.... because I am nosy I guess. I specially love the school themed ones as sometimes I find some people bring rather weird stuff to school. So, today you are gonna get the chance to be nosy and see what I bring to university on a daily basis. Woohooo!

My bag is from Stradivarius, I got it in September so I doubt it is in stored but it is quite simple so I don't think it will be very hard to find a similar one. When I first bought it I was in love with it, now I am not anymore. I don't hate it but I don't specially love it either, I probably wouldn't buy it now but it's just a school bag after all so I don't really care.

Something I bring every day without fail, mainly these past week because I've been sick, is a bottle of water as sometimes I leave at 8:30am and don't go home until 6pm and I obviously need to drink something throughout the day.

Next thing I bring is my wallet. I swear I am not capable of leaving halls without money, I feel like there's something missing. I don't know if it's just me being weird or what but yeah, I need to bring my debit card everywhere.

Lip balms are a must in winter and even if we want to pretend it is spring, it's not so I still keep it with me to avoid dry lips. I sometimes keep it in my pencil case so that I remember to use it.

If my iPod is not out of battery I will bring it with me because it's always a good time to listen to music, mainly if it's One Direction.

I also bring a notebook and a folder where I keep notes because you gotta do some work, even when you don't want to, which is basically always.  And because notes don't write itself I bring a pencil case with pencils, pens and shitloads of highlighters.

I don't always bring hand sanitizer but I do when I have labs because even though I wear nitrile gloves who know what I can touch, I could have sulfuric acid on my hands and didn't know (well, that's probably not gonna happen as my skin would burn if I had but you get the point).

I also like to keep some painkillers in my schoolbag for those lectures that are just too hard and give you a headache. And of course I also bring my keys with me every day.

I almost always keep my lab goggles in my school bag even if I don't have labs because I'm pretty sure that if I take it out I will forget it and anyone that is not wearing goggles is not allowed in the lab which could be a problem when I have to finish an experiment.
What is your must-have for school?

Garnier Miscellar Cleansing Water || Review

Hey there! I am sure you have all heard about the Bioderma Miscellar Water, everybody has raved about it and has explained they love for this product multiple times. However, I think it's pretty expensive for something that is called 'water' so when I run out of make-up remover I decided to get this Miscellar Water by Garnier to try it out and see how it worked.

First of all, I think the price is very affordable, it retails at £4.99 and it claims to last 200 uses so using it once a day it should last 200 days... I reckon it will last less as 200 days is a lot but still, the bottle is quite big.

As you all can see, the packaging is extremely similar to Bioderma's so I guess they are trying to make a dupe of it. I have never used Bioderma so I won't be comparing it but this 'water' works wonders. I don't know what it has in it but it removes my eye and face make-up in a second, I just hold it on my eyes for 5 seconds and everything is gone. Amazing, I know.

Another thing I love about this is that  my face doesn't feel sticky or itchy at all afterwards and I don't really need to rinse it with water so that's great!

The only thing that makes it not perfect is that it doesn't have any perfume. I know some people like stuff that has no perfume at all, like all Clinique's products, but I die for anything that smells nice so I would love if it smelt like vanilla or something fruity and nice.

So, overall I would definitely recommend that product as it works extremely well and it's very affordable!

Have you tried any miscellar water? Which one is your favourite?

Get the Look: Kylie Jenner

Hello everybody! A few weeks ago I did a 'get the look' post on Kendall Jenner (here) and I really liked doing it so I decided I would do another one but on her sister Kylie. Their styles are quite different and Kylie's is more edgy and 'dark' than Kendall's. I chose a simple every-day outfit that anyone could wear.

As you can see on the picture the outfit is almost exact, it is very easy to recreate as she uses simple pieces that are not hard to find. You can find boyfriend jeans and stripped cropped tops almost in any clothing store. The bag might be a bit more difficult, but any simple black bag will work and I think almost everybody owns a pair of converse or similar shoes.
Boyfriend jeans// cropped t-shirt// Handbag// Converse
Which style do you like the most, Kendall's or Kylie's?

100 Questions No One Asks Tag!

Hello there, I have the feeling this post is gonna be long so let's get started!

1:Do you sleep with your closet doors open or closed?

I don't really care but I think they are usually closed.

2:Do you take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from hotel?

Not really, I rather use my own shampoo and conditioner.

3:Do you sleep with your sheets tucked in or out?

Out, I feel like it's more comfortable.

4:Have you ever stolen a street sign before?

5:Do you like to use post-it notes?

I love them, if you flick through my university notes you sill see they are full of pink post-it notes.

6:Do you cut out coupons but then never use them?

I don't even cut out coupons.

7:Would you rather be attacked by a big bear or a swarm of a bees?

Well, none, but If I had to choose I would say a big bear as bears are at least cute and it sounds more bad-ass than saying you've been attacked by little bees.

8:Do you have freckles?

No, but I wish I did. Freckles are the cutest thing ever.

9:Do you always smile for pictures?

Yes, if I don't smile it's because I am pulling a face or I don't know someone is taking a picture of me.

10:What is your biggest pet peeve?

I can't stand it when people write 'your' instead of 'you're' or 'their' instead of 'they're' and similar things. It's NOT hard to write properly, ya know!

11:Do you ever count your steps when you walk?

No, unless I am extremely bored.

12:Have you ever peed in the woods?

Ew, no.

Even after being told by both my dentist and my mom to stop for a billion of times, yes, I chew my pens and pencils.

Hmm... I am not completely sure but I would say around, maybe, 4 or 5. It's been a bad week though, it would normally be 7 or 8 people per week.

MY bed (aka the bed I have at home) is a double I believe but the one I currently sleep in (aka the one at my halls of residence) is a single (and not a comfy one)

Perfectly okay!

No, I hate cartoons unless it is Totally Spies or The Simpsons.

Why would I ever tell you that? Maybe I have one...

Ketchup, of course.

I can't remember, I don't think emails count as letters do they? Well, I did write a birthday card last month, so in case that counts as a letter it was on February, 10th.

31:Can you change the oil on a car?

No, I don't even have a driving license so I have no idea how cars work.
